Legacy Houses

House Teams:

Every student in grades 6–12 belongs to one of Legacy’s six House Teams. More than a source of school spirit and friendly competition, House Teams give students a smaller community in which they are known, connected, and encouraged to grow. Through shared experiences, students have the opportunity to learn:

  • Honoring Christ

  • Building Servant Leadership Within Students

  • Fostering Student Body Community and Connection Across Grade Levels

Each House Team is guided by three student House Team Leaders who help plan activities, lead their peers, and mentor younger students. Throughout the year, teams earn points and grow together through:

  • Academic and character achievement

  • House games and friendly competitions

  • The Legacy Bible Cup

  • Campus cleanup and Community service activities

Together, these experiences strengthen community, celebrate growth, give opportunity to draw closer to Christ and teach students that true leadership means serving others.

National Honor Society

Legacy Christian Academy’s chapter of the National Honor Society recognizes students who demonstrate excellence in the four pillars of Scholarship, Service, Leadership, and Character. Membership is more than an academic honor—it gives students meaningful opportunities to put those values into action as their own collective. NHS members are also encouraged to lead by example throughout campus, including serving as House Team leaders, mentoring younger students, supporting community service initiatives, and working alongside LCA Student Council. Members may also pursue elected Student Council positions, where they can represent their peers and help shape student life. Through these connected leadership experiences, students grow in confidence, responsibility, and influence while learning that Christ-centered leadership is not simply a title—it is the daily choice to serve others with integrity.

Student Council

LCA Student Council brings together elected student leaders who are already serving as House Team leaders, National Honor Society members, or both. Working closely with House Team leadership and LCA Administration, the council represents the student body, communicates schoolwide goals, and helps shape a positive student experience. House Team leaders meet in advance to gather ideas and identify student needs, then the Student Council meets with administrators over lunch once a month to get to know each other as leaders, while discussing upcoming initiatives and potential improvements. Council members help lead:

  • Spirit Week

  • Pep rallies

  • The Middle School Dance

  • See You at the Pole

  • Read Across America

  • Student lock-ins

  • Partnerships between House Teams and elementary classes

At Legacy Christian Academy your student will be known, loved, and well-educated.
