  • Is Legacy accredited?
    Yes. We are accredited by both the Association of Christian Teachers and Schools (ACTS) and the Association of Colleges and Schools (Cognia/Formerly known as SACS).
  • Does Legacy offer transportation to and from school?
    Legacy has a bus that runs to and from Front Royal and Strasburg. There is information available under “Admissions”.
  • What curriculum does Legacy use?
    Legacy uses mainly Abeka and Bob Jones Press for Curriculum. A few Bible classes will use Summit and the upper Math classes use Glencoe. Elementary Secondary
  • What sports does Legacy offer?
    Legacy offers Soccer, Volleyball, Basketball, Cheerleading, Baseball, Softball, Cross-country, and Flag Football. See under “Athletics” for additional details.
  • Does Legacy use Common Core?
    No, the education that we offer is traditional.
  • Does Legacy offer before and after care?
    Legacy offers both Before Care (7:00-7:45) and After Care (3:30-6:00). Click Here for additional Information about these programs.
  • Does Legacy have a program that issues the students iPad, Chromebooks, etc.?
    LCA does not issue Chromebooks, ipads, or any other electronic devices directly to our students. However, we understand that we live in a world where it is expected for students to have a functional ability to use a variety of technology by the time they graduate high school. We believe technology is an important tool that can enhance teaching and learning in the classroom. Our students have opportunities to learn responsible use in a safe environment that is monitored to help prevent classroom distractions. Opportunities include keyboarding and basic fundamentals of Microsoft Office Applications in our computer lab. We will also be adding classes such as design, Web Development, and videography in the future. Additionally, students will learn acceptable behavior during use, care of property, safe research sites and plagiarism. LCA has implemented school policies to limit personal devices in the classrooms for all students so that students are better focused on the learning material. This policy will lessen classroom distractions and prevent the sharing of harmful the least amount of distractions. Inappropriate material, bullying, and other harming situations that interfere with the rights of others safety are unacceptable behaviors.
  • Does Legacy have school uniforms?
    No, but we do have a uniform style of dress code. Legacy offers a wide range of what can be worn but with in certain guidelines. For example: Students can wear any color polo, but it must have the Legacy logo on it. More information on the dress code is available under “Info”.
  • Does Legacy have a hot lunch program?
    Yes, Students may either pack lunch or they can buy lunch from the cafeteria. "Click Here" for more details about the lunch program.
